In 2004 I was looking for a sailboat to rebuild to use to teach the Royal Rangers how to sail. I found a Alacrity 19 ft with trailer in Michigan with trailer for $600 on e bay. I drove to Michigan hooked up to the trailer and hull of a boat and drove back to Brownsville. Fran and I worked on the boat until March 2005 when the Housmans, Freemans and Treats put her in the water. After sailing her in the Gulf I took her to Berryville Ar for the Royal Rangers.
In August 2012 I was looking for a boat to race in the "Bucket Race" on Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma. I remembered this boat, called Pastor Keith and he saild the boat had not been used in three years, come and pick it up.
We did so, "G", Clara and I started working on the boat. Put it in Lake Eufaula and found that one of the keels was badly damaged. After Fran passed on Dec 6th 2012, Clara, Joy and I brought her to Brownsville and started working on her.
In April 2013, Ron, Amy and I put her back in the water at Port Isabel, where she is today.
